Tepoztlán is a Mexican town south of Mexico City. It is best known as the birthplace of Quetzalcoatl. A steep trail leads to the Aztec pyramid of Tepozteco, on a hilltop above the town. The Exconvento de Tepoztlán is a former Dominican monastery from the 16th century and has a local history museum.
